Hi everyone, just finished my first Camino a few days ago (Francés + Finisterre). I'm not sure if many people know about this, but the Convento/Iglesia de San Francisco accepts clothes and shoes donations that they'll give to the local homeless population. It's an immediate opportunity to give back, and convenient if you are looking to lighten your pack anyway. The church is close to the cathedral, but instead of going through the front entrance, the donation center is on the side of the complex, on Rua dos Castiñeiros. Enter what looks to be an albergue and someone will accept your donation. Thanks for considering.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Other places that accept this kind of donations are Pilgrim House and my home. We sort things through, wash if necessary and then either keep it for the use of other pilgrims or, if more appropriate for non-pilgrims, pass it on to the relevant charities. Buen Camino, SY

Thank you for sharing. Glad to hear there are multiple options out there.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-

I have many things I would like to donate. Where is the Programs House? I will be in Santiago this weekend.

Does anyone know if the aforementioned donation options are still available in Santiago. I’ll have clothing, shoes, socks, and a daypack. Thanks

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
