Time of past OR future Camino
Portuguese coastal Sept 2018
Hi all, first timer and looking forward to walking the coastal Camino from 9th to 20th September. Anyone got ideas of what to expect with the weather ( temp/rainfall/ terrain)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hello Eamo, I walked the same camino in 2016. Very comfortable temperatures seldom requiring a jacket or pullover. Occasional light fog in the mornings. No rain all the way to Fisterra. Some days were a bit too warm on the interior sections. Pack some snacks as many of the coastal bars you pass will be closed for the season after Sept 15 or only open certain times and days. Take adavantage when you do come across one that is open. It is a beautiful camino. Don't be afraid to get off the official route if something looks interesting. For example, in Baiona the official route keeps you in back lanes and takes you away from the waterfront streets of one of the best towns on the route. Head down to the waterfront streets and enjoy. Great area to take a rest day if you have the time. Also the fellow running campground/albergue at O'Muino knows every inch of every route and will give you some very good advice. Also serves a great breakfast. Bom Camino

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
