Compostela translation?

I know I saw it here someplace, but can't seem to find it now - does anyone have the Latin to English translation of the Compostela? Thank you for your help.

The text is written in Latin. Here is the translation:

"The Chapter of this Holy Apostolic Metropolitan Cathedral of St. James, custodian of the seal of St. James' Altar, to all faithful and pilgrims who come from everywhere over the world as an act of devotion, under vow or promise to the Apostle's Tomb, our Patron and Protector of Spain, witnesses in the sight of all who read this document, that: Mr…………………has visited devoutly this Sacred Church in a religious sense (pietatis causa).

Witness whereof I hand this document over to him, authenticated by the seal of this Sacred Church.

Is there a translation of the newer version of the Compostela available? The ones posted here seem out of date or incomplete, My Latin is rusty but the Compostela I have been issued with yesterday makes reference to being on foot or horseback and completing the last 100 kilometres 'sive pedibus, sive equitando post potrema centum milia metrorum' and this isn't mentioned in the posted translations?

Yes, the new Compostela adds that you have fulfilled these minimum requirements, the rest is the same as far as I know. Buen Camino, SY

I was wondering if I was misreading or mistranslating, as I also found some words that appear to be the Latin for bicycle which flummoxed me as I don't believe they had bicycles in Roman times! It would be lovely to have the full translation of the new text, hopefully there are some better Latin scholars out there who perhaps can provide this.

Google translate, albeit not the best, translates the Latin into the following:
whether it be on foot, or riding behind the last of this, the most sacred temple of a hundred thousand of meters into a perfect time of the eyre, a bicycle, however, after two hundred, out of piety, they may obtain visitasse. In Seeing their faith, to forward this letter, is the seal of the same of the Holy Church of the bulwarks, and to him, is bestowed.


It is very strange though. If you insert a comma and a space in some sections, it either clarifies or further obscures the mean. But we get the basic idea. 100 meters on foot, 200 by riding a bike.

I believe that the Vatican has been working on keeping Latin "up to date". I know that they have published Latin translations of stuff that was written in the 20th century. Presumably, they would have come up with "new" Latin words for the things they are translating that didn't exist thousands of years ago.
