Conquering physical limitations during Camino

Hello all!
I just completed my first Camino, starting in Leon. As a newbie, with countless physical and health limitations, I had a million questions as I planned myself pilgrimage. Whereas I joined several Camino Facebook groups, I found this forum to be incredibly informative, relevant and balanced. Like with any online community, one must sort out the content and be willing to accept the good with the not so good in order to establish a credible opinion to base one’s own decision. So … my thanks to Ivar and his team for leading this forum, and to the thousands of Peregrin@s that contribute daily to make this community as strong as it is. All of you in some way helped me get ready for my Camino, which has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life.
My goal was to embrace and conquer my rheumatoid arthritis limitations, and by doing so to empower others with similar health diagnosis to reach their goals, despite their limitations. I feel I have accomplished not only my Camino, but also my goal — my pilgrimage is inspiring others not to allow fear stop them from planning their Camino De Santiago pilgrimage, and therefore my heart is full!
For anyone thinking about the Camino but fearing their own physical limitations, I hope that my pilgrimage story can help. Here is a link to my vlog with impromptu and faithful thoughts:

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
@Membi : thank you for your link. Normally not a fan of videos about the Camino but I just viewed already one of yours and I do like it very much. Needless to say I got a big smile seeing you all enjoying the tapas!

RA means indeed certain limitations but like you say: there are still so many possibilities and ways to do a pilgrimage.

Later on I will continue watching the other entries you made.

Hello!
I am 43 ys old and I was diagnosed with RA 1 month ago. At the worst time, I could barely walk, due to my swollen, painful ankles. Now I am slowly making progress by walking up until 11 km per day (mind you I was quite a hiker before I got diagnosed). I still can not walk up a very still hill for a long time, but I guess I am making progress day by day. I could barely get up from my bed 6 weeks ago, now after 5 weeks of therapy I am so much better.
I always played with the idea of walking the Camino, now after my diagnosis it makes so much sense to walk it to fight and at the same time embrace the disease that will be with me for the rest of my life. In a similar manner you did!
Do you think, that by achieving good remission in a couple of months I could walk it this Summer? Or should I postpone it to next year?
