Consider a RIP thread?

I wondered if the option of a thread to post the passing of a pilgrim would be nice to have. I've just learned of the passing of an American woman from CA that I walked with in 2015 via her FB page and thought it might be nice to have a thread here with a posted picture to 'memorialize' fellow pilgrims. Thoughts?

These threads are usually posted on a person by person basis, but why not, go ahead and start it and maybe post it in the "Announcements" section and members can add to it if they wish going forward.

Maybe an "In Memorium" subforum where such threads can be posted?

There’s a place for it, as Tinca has said, and it’s best there if anywhere. Well intentioned posts which attract cookie-cutter expressions of sympathy are rather meaningless.
