I have read many people carry a card in Spanish to use when buying food stating what you do and don't eat. I used google and other posts to make this below:

Somos veganos, no como carne, ni panceta, ni marisco, ni pescado, ni huevos, ni leche, ni queso. Me puede recomendar algo?
Nos gustan las frutas, las verduras, al curry, al arroz y los frijoles. A mi hijo le gusta el trigo. No puedo comer trigo. Me gusta el vino.

According to Google it says:

We are vegan, not like meat, nor bacon, nor seafood, nor fish, nor eggs, neither milk, nor cheese. Can you recommend something? We like fruits, vegetables, curry, rice and beans. My son likes wheat. I can not eat wheat. I like wine.

Is the Spanish version correct - or correct enough to get my message across? Thanks!

You're almost there, but your verbs and pronouns aren't matching in every case.

Yo (the "yo" isn't necessary, but clarifies that you are talking about yourself) no puedo comer trigo. Me gusta el vino.

This does get your original message across, especially with the grammatical corrections by trecile. I'm not sure I would include curry, though, as you are unlikely to find much of that on the Camino. It might be better to suggest some naturally vegan dishes that are easily found in Spain, such as parrillada de verduras or paella de verduras. You can find some more examples in my ultimate vegan guide to Spain, linked below in my signature. I also have a language guide there with useful phrases for requesting vegan food on the Camino.

Use frijoles in Latinamerica. In Spain many people don't know what exactly frijoles are. As far as I know the word frejoles is used in Asturias but only for green beans.
In Spain better use judias for beans.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

I would add "ni atún" to the list, definitely. Although tuna is fish and therefore should be covered by listing pescado, the canned variety isn't really seen as such (or that's how it seems), and is a standard ingredient in all kinds of stuff, especially salads.

Lentil beans are lentilas...

Frijoles, is not used in Spain.

Legumes: (Generally)
Judias o alubias, in Asturias fabas.
Garbanzos.
Lentejas.
Always accompanied by pork products: bacon, sausage, blood sausage, etc.

Don't forget no chicken (no comemos carne, ni pollo ...)! It happens the same as with tuna.
The variety of beans had already been listed. Be warned that the common "judias con jamon" comes with small bits of ham.

If you're you going as far as "no animal part shall be used" even wine is not OK, sorry. Apart from water the traditional drink horchata is vegan and still sold in shops close to or instead of almond milk. Rolled oats can't be bought in small villages, while industrial (sugar) corn flakes are almost everywhere. Gazpacho (cold vegetable soup) is sometimes available.

>I can not eat wheat.
look for the "sin glutén" corner of any bigger supermarket.

Nos gustan las frutas, las verduras, al curry, al arroz y los frijoles. A mi hijo le gusta el trigo. No puedo comer trigo. Me gusta el vino.

If you want to avoid any misunderstandings, better say:

"Somos veganos. No comemos carne, ni pollo, ni beicon, ni jamon, ni marisco, ni pescado, ni atun, ni huevos, ni leche, ni queso. Nos puede recomendar algo?
Nos gustan las frutas, las verduras, una paella vegetariana, lentejas, judias, garbanzos.

Yo no puedo comer trigo ni glutén tambíen. "

For drinks you can order vino (wine), tinto de verano (wine with lemonade), agua (water), lemonade or "gaseosa" (a spanish lemonade), Café solo (Espresso) or Café americano (filter coffee).

Gazpacho and ajo blanco are cold vegetable soups that are vegan.

But be prepared, that in many places they may offer you strange things or near to nothing.

In Supermarktes you will find suitable products for you ("sin glutén), but you still have to look if they are vegan.

>Yo no puedo comer trigo ni glutén tambíen.
For google translator good enough, we can still do better :).
=>Yo no puedo comer trigo ni glutén tampoco.

Again: Wine is not a typical vegan product!
As natural wine is cloudy most producers put protein (egg whites) into it before it is filtered, bottled and sold. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarification_and_stabilization_of_wine
Don't expect any special vegan treatment for a tinto in a village pub.

Coffee can contain animal wax (E901-E904), so it is not always vegan.
The good news german style beer (4 ingredients) will be vegan (Mahou San Miguel claims to produce that way).

Yes the word is lentejas.

Thanks for the correction. Should checked first. My bad.

I was jet lagged, having just arrived at Madrid, on a flight with a noisy seat mate from Miami. Did not get my customary 7 hours sleep on an 8.5 hour flight.

At Oviedo now trying to catch up on sleep. Bs to Santiago Saturday. Volunteer work starts Monday.

Promise to do better next time...
