Also, they are now rebranded as an Eddie Bauer product. This may mean they will be sold elsewhere than Costco?

Colours are dark grey, light grey, navy and burgandy.

Still as slippery.

My other question is are they as warm as a fleece bag liner. The liner is 20 deg of warming. Paired with my silk sheet I get a total of 30 deg of warm over the air temp.

They have a 700 loft. As for weight, my kitchen digitsl scale says 464 grams, including its bag. Add a few grams for the extra 3 inches.

I don't know how many extra degrees it gives, but I would bring it from spring into early November on the Frances, with liner.

The silk sheet used inside a regular bag adds 10 deg F to the rating of the bag. The fleece adds 20 deg F. So 30 deg F over room temp is how I am guessing. I slept in it at my sister's, with the exterior doors open and a low of 50F, was warm all night. woke up in the morning half covered and was warm. It was too hot to sleep under the fleece at 65F.

I used it to wrap myself in when I went outside in the early morning to have coffee. It kept me warm.

I ordered from Costco.com. I think they're called the Double Diamond down throw. $40 US for 2.

I just bought one of the new bags for a fellow forum member and weighed it. It is 424 grams, so a bit lighter than the original Double Black Diamond, but more compactable.

Mine of a year and a half ago came with a bag that compressed it quite a bit. Kept me snugly on cold nights, but yes it was awfully slippery. Next Camino I will safety pin it to the mattress.

With the bag it comes with, it's the size of a soccer ball. But if you press on it you could compact it into 6"x7".

It's actually a bit more expensive, but not much. The fill is only 650. But for non Costco members can be a good alternative.

And as far as it being 'slippery' - I folded mine in half, put it inside of my silk liner and pinned the bottom corners from the outside. This way I could slip in between the two layers or under both, depending on the temperature. By the end of my Camino, May '17, it was too warm and I only needed the silk liner.

I brought one along on the Primitivo in July and loved it. It weighed 8 oz fewer than my sleeping bag, took way less room in my bag, and was really warm. It's the way I go from now on.

They weigh about 15 ounces. If you want to get the weight down you can cut it approximately in half, and bind the cut edge. Then you can tuck it inside a silk liner for extra warmth. If it's hot, and the plastic covered mattress is sticky it's nice to put under the silk liner.

I cut the costco blanket to the size of the liner and stitched it to one side. If it's cold I sleep under the down side and if it is warm I sleep in the liner only side on top of the down side. Total weight is around 1 lb. One of my favorite Camino modifications.

That is the very thing I was given as a gift at Christmas. I had it stitched almost completely up the edges and made into a permanent, lightweight sleeping bag. No field tests on a Camino with it yet, but I did test it out on a couple of chilly nights indoors and it seems to be very warm for its weight. It packs down very small and is very compressible.
