credencial & alcohol

Couple of unconnected questions:

1) I'm arriving in Logrono on Sunday evening to start my walk from there. Anyone know where I can get credencial - planned this all far too late to join csj and get it through them.

2) Because I'm anxious about travelling alone I want to avoid alcohol but still quite fancy sitting in a bar with tapas and a drink. Wondering what Spain is like for non-alcoholic beer/lager? Is it something they serve there and if so what would I ask for (my Quickstart Spanish CD seems to have omitted that one  )

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi Midge:

1. You should be able to get a credential at almost any alburgue. Check the one in Logrono. If they don't have one they can tell you where to go. I used the CSJ credential and would advise against it anyway. It is too large to carry in your pocket and therefore less likely to be used.

2. I saw many places with "sin alcohol" beer. You shouldn't have any problem except perhaps in some of the smaller village bars. You might have more of a problem finding tapas.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hi Midge,

I drank an apple cider at the bars, Sidra. Manzonava is a brand name. I liked its taste much better than non alcoholic beet. A tast think I know, but try it.

Even the smallest stop along the way had it. It does have .5% acohol content, however...that's point 5 % - one half of one percent - or less.

I buy it now that I am back home.

Credential and alcohol

hi,
you can obtain a credential at any albergue on the Camino. For myself there were certain parts of the walk that necessitated alcohol so chin! chin!

Hi,

Because of driving law in Spain, all bars let you to drink non alcoholic beers and others drinks.

Or at least, most bars.

Buen Camino,
