I went to the Cathedral in Lisbon this morning and they have run out of credencials. The priest said there are more coming but in three days' time. I start the Camino tomorrow (Monday). Does anyone know if I can get one anywhere else in Lisbon? If I cannot find one, can I collect stamps on a piece of paper?

Thank you. Lisa

Nos albergues de S. Pedro de Rates e Ponte de Lima.
Na Catedral de Tui.

You can obtain the Credential Pilgrim
In Lisbon:
Se Cathedral, every day from 9:30 to 18:30
Basilica of Martyrs, every day from 10:00 to 17:00
In Porto at the Cathedral every day from 9:00 to 18:00
In the hostels of St. Peter of Rates and Ponte de Lima.
In Tui Cathedral.

If the Basilica has run out also, I would try the tourist office and yes, if you still have no luck use a sheet of paper (to be added to your Credencial later). Bon Camiño, SY

For anyone else following, I was told the same thing in mid-June. The Cathedral had run out of credentials. I was directed to the Basilica. I did bring my own, however, I thought I'd get one from Lisbon if anything special. I decided to use the one I had brought and moved on. When returning back home through Lisbon weeks later, I checked with the Cathedral again. Same thing, they were out. A good conversation with the man at the desk. He said they could not keep up with demand and he has requested twice as many be ordered from now on.

More importantly right now, wishing each of you a wonderful walk. Lisbon to Santiago was quite special. Took the coastal route after arriving in Porto and the Spiritual Route later on down the path.

Keep a smile,
Simeon
