This is not a new thread, but an update of some older ones. Sean and I got our credentials from the Iglesia de Santiago y San Juan, and very attractive credentials they are. A prayer for safe arrival to Compostela is on page 3 and there are lots of maps on the reverse side, showing all the caminos still to be travelled! We got the credenials on a Tuesday afternoon.
We had a hotel room right by the Plaza Mayor so we asked at the Tourist Information Office there for directions on how to get to the church. This office, by the way, is in a temporary location at the moment while they carry out restoration work in the Plaza Mayor.
