Just hoping to get some feedback about weather and walking conditions from those fortunate pilgrims currently making their way across the Frances. We are planning a late February departure from Roncesvalles and are familiar with the route. I always think it's better to rely on information I can receive on the Forum than trying to guess what the weather sites suggest.
Thanks in advance and Buen Camino you lucky fellows. :)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

You're asking people for information now that you think might be better than the meteorological services will provide towards the end of the month when you are actually walking? Let me make a bold prediction - the weather will be the same as last year, just on different days.

I walked last year at this time and had cold, rain, snow, windy and a couple of warm days. Buen Camino!

I started in SJPDP on 2 January. I should arrive in Santiago tomorrow. I have encountered rain (a little), sleet (a tiny amount), snow in brief but impressive amounts, and a lot of sunshine. An atypical amount of sunshine. And a couple of days of near-continous wind around 30kmph but gusting over 50kmph. Temperatures have ranged from about -7C overnight to about 13C in the daytime. But I have to second @dougfitz in saying that this far from your starting date the best guess is that you will have most of the above but that the order they come in and the proportions are anyone's guess! Weatherspark.com is a very useful website for historical weather data. It will give you averages for places along the way and will at least give you fair warning of extremes you can expect. But it cannot tell you what you will find on any given day!

In Astoria now. Last 6 days very cold but beautiful blue skies

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
02 February 2023. 14:45. Someone is playing a very elaborate practical joke. This cannot be Santiago de Compostela - it isn't wet enough...
