2024 - which Camino? IDK!
2025 CF from SJPdP?
Thanks to @t2andreo and @MarcoPolo616 I was able to give my wife a slightly early Christmas gift. These two gents helped with specifications for the mojon, and, even more importantly, the inspiration to do it!

This beauty serves a a daily reminder of the incredible journeys we have been on, and the ones that we're already looking forward to. :)

PS - if anyone in the Boston area wants the contact for the stone engraver/artist made this artwork, I'll be glad to provide it. (I supplied the tile and distance plaque). He's on the Cape.IMG_2277.jpeg

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

The only thing I would change is to flip the shell 180 degrees.

@BobY333 -

While I take @jpflavin1 's point, , do not let it spoil your joy over a fine piece of work. My experience of my first Caminos was that close to 50% of the shell tiles between SJPP and Burgos were oriented incorrectly. As long as the arrow is pointing in the right direction, you are set.

BTW, my late Camigo was from Norton, MA and I think he was active for a bit in local Camino events. If that rings a bell for you, please feel free to PM me.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

We did our Camino Frances in March 2020 and had to skedaddle out of the country after two weeks. So, at home, I have friends that are morticians/funeral directors. One is one of my closest friends. Bless his heart and good intentions, he gave me his business card and said, " tape this to your chest and tell the guys walking with you, so they just need to call me if you die". True story and we laughed.
The point being, and not to sound morbid, but people might consider your local burial monument company for this type of monument to the Camino. Now you have me thinking about it.

Just be sure to shop around - one quote from a cemetery memorial company was almost 5x the price from the independent stone engraver!
