Camino de Frances June (2017)
Day 2 - in St Jean Pied de Port having an easy day before I begin my walk tomorrow. I stayed in a lovely albergue called Beilari with 4 bunk beds per room. As I arrived late the only bed left was on the top bunk! Careful what you wish for because that's the one thing I felt resistant to & that's exactly what I manifested on night 1

The merriment began around the 'family' dinner table made up of 25 pilgrims from around the globe - Spain, France, Netherlands, USA, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Brazil, India, UK. Lots of laughs! Trying out my French and Spanish was funny! Thank heavens for Google Translator.

Before I began this pilgrimage I had planned to write down all the questions I wanted answers to. Whilst on board the flight to France yesterday I realised the questions aren't needed. Nothing is required other than surrender, and love, joy & grace. And to be without expectation so that what evolves isn't from the mind. The key for me is to allow what is present without resisting. My body is as ready as it's going to be. I am beginning to feel a deep sense of peace, and yes, some nerves. Keeping it real!

My Camino began the moment I committed to walking it. Today I'd like to honour myself for choosing to walk 'The Way' as a solo pilgrim. It feels perfect.

A journey dedicated to coming back to the Essence of who I am - LOVE. I walk for myself, and also for all those who are unable to do it. I hold them in my heart as I take each step.

I begin my walk open to unlimited possibilities. How awesome is that!!!! :)

You faced that top-bunk fear head on, and now you will never worry about it again!

I am happy for you, and smiling to think of beautiful SJPP and the year that I left my life behind for seven weeks. I don't think I can leave for that long again, as I don't like leaving the mister alone. He and I have become very attached, and with some health concerns this last year, I have felt the need to be a bit more tethered---but I will be back in France and Spain in September and part of October! (gleefully smiling)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
