It's that time again! May is here and I really have been getting itchy feet, not helped by reading live blogs! I must remember to do those stretches both before setting off each morning and in the evening this year, and start more slowly for the first few days, as last year got cut short after a week with a back strain!
So, inspired by www.magwood.me, it's the Ruta de la Lana to start with, and then there are many options after that. The flight has just been booked to Alicante for Tuesday 7th May for a very reasonable £51, new poles and foot cream are in the post, the bag is packed and just the will to write, oh, and need to make a daily plan and list of albergues! Also, recommendation for a cheap but clean hotel in Alicante anyone, or quiet hostel?
I will probably leave Alicante on Wednesday or perhaps Thursday. If anyone else is setting off then, perhaps meet up? I'm looking forward to posting daily reports and getting some sunshine! Is it worth spending a day looking around Alicante?
