Time of past OR future Camino
Starting the Camino Frances 20th May 2018.
I'm interested on any details people could share or advise they could give me to help complete the Central route on the Portuguese camino walk. I would also appreciate any info on either bus or train details between Santiago to Porto.

Many thanks,

Archie 47

Try rome2rio. There is one train a day and 5 or so buses. There are also direct flights to Porto from many airports

If you are planning to stay overnight in Caldas de Reigna I do not recommend the municipal auberge there when the weather is colder or more damp. They simply do not turn on the heat even though they promise that it will come on at 10pm.
And there is some kind of "trick" to the water heater... If I recall correctly, whoever turned the hot water on first received the supply. So if a pilgrim used the kitchen sink first, the pilgrim in the shower would freeze.
Other than that, the entire walk and all accommodations were wonderful.
Even though I had 14 days of rain in a 17-day walk from Coimbra (late autumn)... I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
