Detours to add kms

I started a bike pilgrimage from Ribadeo for reasons. Is it possible to backtrack on the Camino Frances or make some other detour to arrive at the required 200 kms or is my starting stamp at Ribadeo automatically disqualifying for the Compostela?

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
I would say you can back track to La Caridad, Navia, or further East, then put a stamp there and on the return take the Vegadeo detour if you do not want to go via Ribadeo again, how does that sound?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It is not the odometer distance you travel, but the direct, customary route along an acknowledged Camino route. Simply doing a round-about routing to cover more kilometers does not qualify.

Were that the case, a pilgrim could walk around Plaza Obradoiro 100 times. Or 200 times if done on a bicycle. I am assuming the perimeter of the square is a kilometer. Of course, I could be wrong.

But the point is made. On the Frances, Ponferrada is the considered inner limit for cyclists.

Tink (post #2 above) is correct for the other routes.

Hope this helps.

Plan to cycle between Burgos and Leon over three or four days. Are there any interesting detours between these two cities that would take up a 4th day?
