I sit here at 02:21 watching the New Zealand All Blacks Haka.
Well and some other Haka.

Its funny how life turns in its seasons.
I shoot some local players in Sevens at the end of season and a nacient local college team.
Its not that big of a family that i have not got to meet most of the locals and families.

In between have taken 4 days off this year i have managed to shoot a few games and along with the bands i also shoot on occasion its a full life.
My weeks are usually 90 to 100 hrs long and it makes for a full plate.
My band mate called and was excited about practice tomorrow day
His eyes had gotten burned by a welders light and along with a severe hand injury a few weeks ago was in pretty good form,
I told him i could not wait till the day that we could give up our jobs we had to do
To do the jobs we really want to do.

My knee is trashed right now...again...and along with sundry other worn out parts am looking at a dismal DISMAL! achy winter
Which i love most among all seasons.

I am waiting my turn to pay a visit to a certain persistent Saint....
Ill get there busted up and all and cant wait...except for doing what we have to do
In order to do what i want to do...

So here is to the average Pilgrim grinding away to get teh dosh to go to Santiago
Keep it up
Dont give up

Get that grind done Pilgrim!

Keep on doing what you’re doing brother

I think being on pilgrimage isn’t a place or terrain- it’s an attitude

You are already on The Way brother and when the time is right for you, you’ll be on the Camino with the other fortunates

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you William Garza for such an encouraging post. I too am facing 'dismal times ahead', though not from a cold winter onset, but, from the heat of our Western Australian Summers which is fast approaching. My back is 'trashed' as is also my left foot. (hopefully, surgery on this foot in a couple of weeks will help here) But, my will and my outlook is Not diminished...new walks are planned.....they will just be a bit slower than before, but I Will get there in the end. Camino Hugs to you.

I have a confession. I am terrified of - and yes now feel free to laugh - the top bed in bunks with no railing/fence (something to stop you falling out). I've managed to get away with it except...

Last year on my camino I was a bit annoyed when someone back home told me to enjoy my vacation. I bristled. Why did that word annoy me so much? I was on a pilgrimage! Anyway, I'm about to embark...
I was looking at the wisepilgrim app for the Frances route and noticed that the distances don't always add up from one side to the other. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I being overly observant...
