Easiest transport Biarritz Air-Estella & Belorado-Biarritz

Returning from Ireland to do a 2nd leg of the Camino very soon and wondered if any seasoned fellow 'leggers' could advise me on the most straightforward way to travel from Biarritz Airport (arrival 12.30) back to Estella (I'm happy enough doing the bus -Biar-SanSeb-Pamplona-Estella outbound and can get there on the same day in the evening).

Advice more so on return leg flying Saturday 13.00 from Biarritz so looks like I'll have to travel back towards aiport on the Friday. Reckon I'll get as far as Belorado walking. Should I head on a local bus to Burgos or Logrono? Is bus or train the easiest (regarding walking access from municipal albergue and changes on route). Happy to stay SanSeb Fri night and bus up to airport Sat morning.

Many thanks. Buen camino.

Xx

La Estellesa (www.laestellesa.com) has some direct buses from San Sebastián to Estella so if their schedule suits you, you wouldn't need to change buses in Pamplona. From Biarritz airport to San Sebastián (aka Donostia), you can take a bus either with Pesa (www.pesa.net) or with Alsa (www.alsa.es/en).

There isn't too much difference between changing buses in Logroño or in Burgos on your way to San Sebastián. Travel time inside buses is (a bit) shortern changing buses in Logroño but overall travel time will depend on the time between buses in Logroño and in Burgos. From Belorado to either Logroño or Burgos, the bus Company is www.autobusesjimenez.com From Logroño to San Sebastián, bus company is La Estellesa and from Burgos to San Sebastián bus company is Alsa. Once in San Sebastián, you can take a bus to Biarritz airport (see above).
