Eating healthy

How difficult is it to find things like whole grains (quinoa, wild rice, etc.) or natural foods on the route from Le Puy or the Camino Francés?

I think that France and Spain view their regular diet as very healthy, so there is little alternative food available. You might find a health food section in a large department store, but nowhere else. After adopting the potato, Europe stopped adopting new world vegetables. Corn exists, but mostly as animal feed. Quinoa? Never.

If by natural food you mean what we call 'organic' then you need to look for the Eco Agricultur label. If you just mean 'not processed' then there is fresh food easily available usually. We found it easy to eat healthily in Spain although we were on the Norte/Pimitivo and Inglés but not the Francés until Palas de Rei.
