Museo do Pobo Galego presents a look at the history and different stages of the Vía de la Plata, a 1,000 road conceived by the Roman Empire to control the Iberian Peninsula militarily.

I've arrived in Santiago. It's still raining and the Semanario albergue is closed for refurbishment until Spring 2009. Other than that, I love it here and hope to make enough cash to stay at least a week. Possibly longer. There is much to see and explore.

Popped in today for a look. Very interesting. Unsurprisingly the main focus is on Merida and Caceres. Also confirmed that my 'wrong route' was actually the 'right' route :lol:

Nice of them to put on an exhibition for me when I arrived. I expect another charting the history of the Alicante to Santiago route next Spring! It was fun watching from the air videos tracking the route I had been walking for the past few weeks.
