Obrigada.

Hello! I hope you are all well. I am studying the Portuguese Way Santiago with a special focus on the Central Way, with the aim of building tourist experiences, taking advantage of the various historical, cultural and scenic elements around the Way, allowing the pilgrim / tourist to enjoy a different walk than usual. Does anyone want to share a story, an interesting situation that goes beyond just walking? Thanks.

I was walking the Caminho on my birthday in early October 2018 heading north from Barcelos. With me, for part of this walk, were another couple of Canadians. Of course, as we passed local people along our way, we would share a pleasant "Bom dia". At one point, I called out "Bom dia" to some people harvesting grapes in a vinyard. Immediately, we were called into the vinyard where a nice lady took us deep into the vinyard and started picking grapes for us, loading us down with as many as we could carry. These were shared with our fellow pilgrims that evening.
