Estabulo de Valinhas

This is an amazing hostel near casa Fernandes (12 mins extra walk) with doubles and dormitories. It's set in a vineyard with hammocks and big bean bags to chill on. There is also an option of a group dinner with lots of homemade wine and food and the hostess is really lovely or a kitchen or a nearby restaurant. Not surprisingly it gets 9.1 on booking.com and Fernandes recommends it to when she is full.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I am headed this way in Sept so this info is wonderful! I knew about the place, but hadn't heard any recommendations. Since my schedule is fluid, I will use this place if the Casa de Fernanda is full!

I agree. Just returned and it was lovely. You forgot to mention the homegrown olive oil and the pond full of noisy frogs! (Didn’t hear back from Casa Fernanda when I messaged them).

I stayed at Casa Fernanda September 2021. It was lovely. I messaged in advance and didn't hear back. I called her directly instead. It took several tries, but I eventually reached her and made a reservation for me and my husband in their one private room with a private bathroom. Casa Fernanda's was the highlight of our Camino. But, I'm thinking we'll try something different and look into the other hostel when we return in September.

Do I need to bring my own pillow & pillow case for albergues?
Hi, Has anyone stayed in Armenteira recently? I’ve contacted Victor the Taxi to try and reserve a bunk at the Slbuergue de peregrinos. He told me to contact “ Albergue de San Ero de Armenteira”...
