Hello,

I've booked a cheap flight (£12.99) to Faro on 1st December. Although I've plenty of French and Spanish experience of Albergues etc what is the set up in Portugal on that route up towards Santiago do Cacem?

Is there a good (uptodate) guide to purchase?

Check out the website for the people who look after this route, it's only partially waymarked, but their objective is to have it fully marked. www.caminhosantiagoportuguessul.pt/caminho-de-santiago-portugues-central-do-sul I met a couple of them in Santiago the last time I was there they are very friendly and they probably have a rough idea where the route will be going to Santiago de Cacem, if not maps. They are treating it as a central route starting place and are not considering forming a link to the interior route, they feel the other starting point Tavira is more suitable for that.

* Just too add, I had a quick look at their site and I don't think they have updated it for a few weeks, they recently walked Loule to Salir in total, and put a very good wikiloc page out, the guy who has put the wikiloc for Faro to Loule has also done it for the next one as well.

Do I need to bring my own pillow & pillow case for albergues?
Hi, Has anyone stayed in Armenteira recently? I’ve contacted Victor the Taxi to try and reserve a bunk at the Slbuergue de peregrinos. He told me to contact “ Albergue de San Ero de Armenteira”...
