Time of past OR future Camino
(2018)
I am a retired teacher and want to do the Camino de Santiago. I am old, but fit. I run and walk a lot. I need to be back in the states for my daughter's wedding at the beginning of April. Do I need to plan for 2 months or can it be less? Will I be all alone on the Camino during February and March?
Thanks.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It can certainly be hit or miss. I had days when there was me and there were other days when there were a full dozen. In general though, expect a more solitary journey. One thing I will mention is that because so few Albergues were open, those of us on the trail generally ended up in the same Albergue at night and if you didn't see everyone that night you'd surely see them the next night! Good luck.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
And to address your timeframe, 2 months would be very achievable but most fit people could do it in 33-35 days comfortably but nothing wrong with shorter days and using all 40!

Hi - I am planning to start out in one of the first days of february from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port
. It is my first Camino, and it would be nice to follow with someone the first days to Pamplona.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

No there will be others but some of the albergues may be closed. It’s a good time to go not crowded and it may be cool but ok. I usually go in early March and enjoy it. I’d allow 45 days which is about 20km per day or 12 miles. Take more time if you want to do less miles/day. My last Camino was in 2019 and due to Covid wasn’t able to get back till this year I’m now 75 Go for it.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
