Time of past OR future Camino
Starting in SJPP in Sept2018
Hi Im in the planning stages of my Camino, I am anticipating going mid August to end of Oct 2018 are there any festivals/celebrations during this timeframe?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
We walked mid Sept to end October in 2015. We walked slowly though. The big festivals for us were a wine festival in Logrono and a medieval festival in Burgos and what could be a better setting than that for a medieval festival?!! There were smaller festivals that we also came across. In my experience the pilgrim gos. along the way will alert you to any up coming festivals. The exception was Spanish National Day which is usually on 12 Oct. Lots of us pilgrims thought it would mean a big festival with lots of delicious food and music and dancing and streets parades ie. all the usual Spanish fiesta stuff, but no. Where we were it just meant that everything was closed. :(:p:p:p We timed our arrival to Santiago for end October because the botafumerio swings on all saints day. ;)
In 2018 the Logrono Rioja wine festival is 15-22 Sept. http://www.spain.info/que-quieres/a...a/fiestas_de_la_vendimia_riojana.html?l=en_AU
I couldn’t find any info about the weekend medieval fair in Burgos but can highly recommend it.

Would defintely recommend Logrono wine festival :D. Walking through Rioja in September with fields and fields of ripe grapes is a fabulous experience then you get to drink the end product too! Probably best to book accommodation beforehand. Enjoy and Buen Camino!

The thread is old, but the title still fits.

I saved the website linked from Kanga on my smartphone.

How do you prepare for festivals (that not everything is booked out or all bars and shops are closed)?
Just ask the hospitalero that everything is "normal" the next 2 days and the next two stages?
What would be the Spanish phrase for this?
