All a bit surreal at the moment. Have arrived late in SJPdP and staying in a lovely villa on Route Napoleon 1 km out of town. Drizzly rain tonight and we have 2 nights here so don't start our walk until 10/9. All in good time

It's a long way from home isn't it? Very sensible staying in SJPdP for a while - you'll be able to enjoy walking off the jet lag and there's a fabulous shop selling teas and spices and other wonderful stuff that you can't bring home to Australia and wouldn't want to carry all the Way to Santiago anyway
