Camino Portugues - Porto to Vigo, 2017; Vigo to SDC to Muxia, 2018
Hi again, all.

Any recommendations as to where I might find a copy of John Brierly's guidebook in Porto?
Livraria Lello sounds greatly appealing, so will go there in any case. Can I assume I'll find it there, though, or are there other places you'd recommend?

Thanks as always,

L

Someone asked this exact question a week ago and posted where a guidebook was found. Perhaps you can search for the thread and find where to go. I do know that a year ago someone did find one at Lello.

Thanks, Anemone. I have the same recollection, but haven't been able to find the post. Will keep looking (and share if I find it), but will also welcome additional input from anyone who has it to offer.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

It was there last November! The shop is lovely. It cost maybe €3 for entrance ticket which is taken off your purchase. I went at 9am on a Saturday and got in after about 10 minute wait. No need to book online (which costs more, I presume because you get a time slot allocated).

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
hi lorneb bought one in livraria lello last august as left mine on the plane ..upstairs in the travel department

I just thought I'd share that Livraria Lello did as if last week have copies of Brierly's detailed guide as well as an abbreviated one. The clerk handed me the abbreviated version, so I'm glad I looked myself and found the detailed version. As suggested by others, it's a bit of a zoo in there, not to mention the hassle of having to line up to buy a ticket. Still, it's an incredibly beautiful store, and I'd like to go early in the day or offseason, when I imagine it might not be so crowded.
