First aid from April 3rd - Puente La Reina onward

Time of past OR future Camino
First one in 2005 from Moissac, France.
Hi all - just to let any forum members who are about to go on Camino know that I will be out there from April 3rd, Wednesday.

I am taking the ferry tomorrow from Plymouth to Santander and buses to Pamplona then next day on to Puente La Reina so I will be in Albergue Santiago Apostol, Puente, the evening of the 3rd and then sort of ambling westwards. (the refugio over the medieval bridge and up the track opposite).

Apart from ambling slowly in a relaxed 'old-fart' way westwards I have absolutely no plans whatsoever after arriving in Puente la Reina so cannot predict - so, well, come and say hello if you see me :).

My non-plans are built on that wise guru, Snoopy - so let us live .. each day ...

I will have my new trailer with me that I recently built - if you see me please do come and say hello and if you have any problems at all please ask me for help, or let me know of a pilgrim who needs help. For those who don't yet know me, there is no charge, all freely given, and a result of the command Yeshua gives at the end of the story of the Good Samaritan, Luke 10:37 "... then go, Ye, and do likewise.".

I will switch my phone on for a minute morning and evening to see if there are any messages, so if you need me and think I may be close by do send me a pm on here.

Here is my new trailer (blue and yellow scheme!); take the bags off, pull out the extension poles and all folds flat, wheels are quick release, and it all goes into a zipped travel bag, with the bags on my shoulders, which I think is neat - great for going on transport) - as you can see, there is a first aid plate on the rear -- I have never named a vehicle but I spent a lot of time building this and am quite attached to it (excuse the pun) .. S Cargo? - Rosinante? Sancho? .. though, maybe I should name it Oteh ... (Donkey Oteh? ....... ;)).

Now I have created this one I am wondering if I could build a Mk 4 in bamboo - light and strong .. hhmm ...

Hope to see you out there - Buen Camino all!!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I'll look out for the trailer if my knee goes wonky and I need to "hitch a ride". Starting in SJPdP on April 1st, so may catch up by Logrono or so... cheers and buen camino!

Spiffy wow! I vote for S Cargo ..😁👍🏼.you are a treasure safe travels and buen Camino.

I already saw some blisters on the norte from other pilgrimsand me with a heel spur wish you were here. one Dutch pilgrim in the albergue saw a snake coming from San Sebastián today.he thought it was safe 😳 untill I told him if it has a V face it’s venomous. We looked it up it’s a European viper and can kill. If you are so close to take a pix you are too close it’s spring , snakes are waking , breeding and feeding ...be careful

God Bless you, David, and may you be guided to those who are in need, not only for your ministrations, but for ministry as well. You're starting on my birthday, so I will be sure and be reminded of your new journey and to keep you in my thoughts and prayers :)

So happy I got to meet you last Sept.
You would have come in handy when I broke my wrist, later on the Camino.

Medic AND mechanic - an angel of many talents. Do you mind me asking why you built this (fabulous-looking) trailer? Were you making improvements on the Radical Design?

Unfortunately I have a weird
mixed brain, academic and also practical. The radical design trailer is a great trailer but not good for Camino. Is made for long jaunts in the wilds, not Camino. So I made my own, based on two needs, weight balanced over the axle and able to quickly fold flat to go into a bag for going on transport
Just arrived Pamplona and I find phones fiddly for writing, and I will have it off except for one minute mornings and evenings to check emergency messages, so will write more about various trailers and why and how I made this one when I get back!!

Buen
Camino!!

Buen First-Aid Camino David!

Soak up all the wonderful vibes as you walk on these ancient, magical and sacred paths and best, best wishes for helping pilgrims.

I am absolutely impressed. I have imagined having something like this but never thought that someone would actually build one. How about calling it Camisante? Buen camino para siempre.

I think your fantastic trailer looks like a Bob.

Or maybe Duck ... waddling along behind you.

Buen camino!
