Enjoy it, take your time - can't be said enough. Listen to your heart and your feet, you'll be surprise how little you need if you follow that thought. I wish I had taken more time and stopped more to enjoy the moment.

Buy a good mix of Compeed plasters + 5m of sticky tape. Know how to treat blisters (YouTube). Wear tights under socks to reduce blisters. Change socks twice / thrice a day. Before you go, do a couple of 30 km walks and see how your feet / shoes are. Weigh everything and don't carry more than 8 kgs. Look at people's packing lists eg

Pack lightly, then halve it, then halve it again.

Have an open mind and embrace everything that the Camino gives you.

The rest you will work out for yourself!

Buen Camino!!

Hi. How does one start the trip? My son is in Venice but doesn't know where to get a credential, and where to go first. He has a smartphone but no internet at this point, so I am trying to help him out with his research.
