Camino portugues (2017)
Hello,

My husband and I are headed to Porto to start the Camino on March 27. We have 12 days to walk. We're thinking to bypass the road walking and start in Ponte de Lima. Has anybody started there? How many days does it take to get to Santiago from there? Everything I'm seeing looks like it's about 8 days. Are there recommended side trips? Advice is much appreciated!!!

My husband and I walked from Santarem to Santiago last June. We wrote a blog called ourwayportuguesecaminho.wordpress.com. Walking from Ponte de Lima will be wonderful. The distances per day were very manageable. The first night you can spend at the very nice Pilgrims accommodation which we did not use, but looked good. The route is very pretty and I would definitely recommend you spend at least one day in Ponte de Lima. Please ask if you need any further help.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
