I have received my Santiago de Compostela Badge and is now firmly sewned on to my backpack along with its sister the Camino de Santiago, Camino de Europa badge. I now have a face on my backpack, with one red and one blue eye. Say hello if you see me.
I have only about 6 weeks before I leave for Spain.
Regards Begonia

I have my Pilgrim Forum badge on my backpack too... not sure of my sewing skills, it is safety-pinned on.

I looked for your departure in the Camino Calendar but didn't see it...?

I will arrive in Saint Jean Pied-de-Port on May 9 and start walking on May 10. You?

I got my Pilgram Forum badge last week and it is proudly displayed on my back pack. My sewing skills aren't so good but I didn't trust anyone to attach it. I will be in St. Jean June 1 after spending a few days in Paris and Bayonne.

Hmmm, maybe I was prescient... my backpack developed an internal frame problem and I took it back and replaced it with a new one.

So now my Forum Badge is safety-pinned to a new backpack that I need to get used to in the next couple of weeks.

Oh well, better to replace it now than mid-Camino.

i,m just about to put my forum badge on as i,m starting in pamplona or roncevalles ,may 9th depending how tired i am when i arrive ...just got myself a new rucksack as the one i had is old like me! bought new rucksack tested it for the first time today with loaded pack cant believe how much more comfortable the new ones are and the new boots compared to the stuff 20 yrs ago. i was just going to stick with the old stuff but so glad i read alot of the posts where they stress getting good comfy boots

I am sorry about the late reply, I have been doing extra work away from home for a while and have returned with only 1 week before I leave for Spain.
I am not sure about the calendar but will look into it and I am hoping to start about the 19-20 of May form SJPDP.
You are well on your way. Hope everything is going well for you.

Where did you order your Camino de Europa badge?
Again I am sorry about the delay in answering. I got my Europe Badge from CSJ office when I ordered their guide books and paid by PayPal.

I have been passing for Canadian for eight years. Are there any U.S. Camino badges I can put on my backpack now?
