Did you stay at Pension Amets last night? Saturday night? With Joe’s group?

If so - you walked off with someone’s shoes who was walking the Camino because their son died. You also took someone else’s poles. Not a nice thing to do. If this was a mistake please pm me so I can make the exchange.

If you did it on purpose, shame on you!
Not nice!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Joe ran into the friend of the guy who had Matthew shoes in Pamplona. He made the guy walk into the room of the man who took the shoes. I guess it was a mistake but I don’t know how to take somebody else’s shoes that are two sizes larger than your own. Maybe it was dark. I will believe the best. 😊 Matthew’s shoes were two sizes larger than the fellow usually wears. I now feel justified and telling people to buy their shoes one and a half sizes larger. Lol!

And I have one more thing to feel thankful for and that is that Matthew got his shoes back.

Anyway the trade was made and all is well. Mods can delete this if they want.

Folks, take out those insoles before putting them on the shoe rack and it's quite alright (I've done it many times) to collapse your trekking poles and store them in your pack instead of putting them in a basket near the door.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
This is especially important if, like me, you have "large" feet. I tried unsuccessfully to buy new ones (UK size 13/14) when a pair of mine gave up in 2019 but I guess that Spanish men have more normal-sized feet!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
