The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Hi
Planning to walk the same route starting around jan. 25th.

Remember that the Napolleon route will be closed until March 31th. The alternative is by way of Valcarlos.
I'd recommend to do it in two stages (SJPP - Vacarlos - Roncesvalles). And always be attentive to the expected weather; it is a mountain pass, after all.
Buen camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Hi all,
I’m considering starting Camino Francis around that time though I haven’t booked any flights yet. I am a little concerned about the weather and accommodation , hopefully all will be good.
Buen Camino ,
John.

Check around the Forum concerning accommodation, some will be closed. When you do mush off, ask the hospitilaire where to stop concerning your next planned stage. He should know or he can help you to call ahead. Weather? Can't help you with that. No politics mind you, but the weather is a'changing and what was normal and expected 3-4 years ago may now be totally different!

Fir accommodation can I recommend a website list of winter albergues which is regularly updated on alberguesinvierno

A good website but winter being winter microbes, influenza, grippe, croup, ague, snorts, snots, sniffles, and cartarrah available free of charge at every cafe/bar/ restaurant, and albergue. Spend a dime and make sure you have a place to "now I lay me head to sleep".

Definitely a good plan to have some extra money in the budget for a room in case you do pick something up! Or to get a decent night's sleep...or in case the weather gets bad somewhere and there is no albergue...Winter is not the time to skimp on your budget!

Howdy Frank!

I leave for my next Camino Francis on Jan 8. Really looking forward to some decent winter hiking through Spain.

If you like you can follow me on Instagram as Camino_Tranquilo. I only post my Camino prep and daily updates, so folks wont be inundated by my personal stuff.

I also built a website to help a group of family members who are planning a Camino. I apologize, it has not been fully fleshed out since the group moved their travel dates from 2020 to 2021 and I had other things on my plate.

Check this page: https://www.caminotranquilo.net/live-update-camino-2020

I will be updating my daily progress, spending, weather and possibly more. Feel free to drop by and take a look since I will be a couple weeks ahead of you.

Have a great and safe Camino,

M
