Hi everyone!
It's been hard to find an internet café, but finally, here I am........
Right now I'm at Lodéve, 80 km west of Montpellier.
I've walked fom Montpellier, and so far it's been a wonderful experience. I've only met a couple of pilgrims, (where are you, guys!!?) but that's quite allright with me, I love the sound of nature (neverending orchestra of grasshoppers, they're cute!) and I have all the pilgrim beds to myself ...... hard to pick, you know
The weather is hot, 30°C, no wind. Make sure to get up in the morning, no fun being the only one in the streets at your destination while everybody is enjoying shade indoors.
PS!
When leaving Saint-Guilhem, take a picnic load with you. Your next stop at the village Arboras, offer no dining\refreshments but agua potable, and the next little village, Saint-Jean-de-Blaquiére has no other than a tiny café (closed on Wednesdays, bad luck) and a bakery. Actually, I recommend you continue walking to Lodéve (if you're fit), as the gite dé etappe is expensive and not very friendly.
Bon marche!
