Hey there guys...
I'm hoping a few of you will be able to answer this! Apologies if it's already an existing thread,
After some great advice on here I've decided to start my Camino in the beautiful town of Burgos, I am meeting with my brother in Sarria, and we are just trying to figure out a round about time that I might arrive at...

That really depends on how much you are able to walk each day and how many rest days you want to take. As a very rough rule of thumb I use 20km/day which allows on longer Caminos for the occasional rest day as I walk more kilometers in reality. Buen Camino, SY

Hi Sandie, it took me 16 days, some long (for me) 30k, and some as short as 12k with a few 20k and 25k thrown in. If you want to allow for all eventualities allow 18 days or so. I was 58 yrs at the time and reasonably fit.
Enjoy your Camino and go safely.
Buen Camino.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I use 20km/day
A good pace to enjoy your Camino. Remember you are likely to walk up to 5 more km each day if you include walking slightly off route to look at things and once you reach your night stop if you explore the village you are staying in. Plus time to smell the flowers if you go in spring.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

That sounds about perfect for me...I've just been planning sections on the map...so I think 15-16 days is totally doable at a nice pace! Thank you x

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Maybe plan on a couple of days extra in case of sickness or something. If don't need those as recovery days when you get to Sarria early then you could walk back on the alternative route to Samos or bus backwards to some interesting spot you saw along the way.
