From Germany (Cologne/Dusseldorf) to St.Jean Pied de Port

Hello everyone.

I am trying to find the quickest way to get to St.Jean Pied de Port from Cologne,Germany.

I found one way...
fly from Dusseldorf or Frankfurt to Madrid by Iberia air.
Then, fly from Madrid to Pamplona and take bus to Roncesvalles and take taxi to St.Jean.
But it is quite complicated and I wonder there may be quicker way.

Please give me some advice about it.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Tep

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thank you.

I found another route.
I can fly from Dusseldorf to Paris and take train from there to St.Jean via Bayonee.
But it will take all day and similar time to what I found via Madrid...

I could fly from Paris to Bayonne with Air France, but it is extremely expensive (over 500 euro...).

It would be easier to fly to somewhere in France and take the train from there.

KOELN HBF - 01/11/09 10:44 PARIS NORD - 01/11/09 14:35 [Thalys]
PARIS MONTPARNASSE - 01/11/09 15:50 BAYONNE - 01/11/09 20:33 [TGV Atlantique]
BAYONNE - 01/11/09 21:06 ST JEAN PIED DE P - 01/11/09 22:18
cost 'from £127'
You could do the whole journey by train and it would still take 12 hours and no airport check ins etc. This was http://www.raileurope.co.uk.
