Hello, any advise re getting from the airport Lisbon to Rua da Assunau 53 appreciated. I will arrive on a Friday night around 20.00hrs after a hellish flight from Australia and have explored bus/metro options but not sure if i will be up for it and wonder about the taxi service. Any advise appreciated

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I live in Lisbon, but I don't take taxis so I can't help you there. An uber from the airport to the city centre will cost you ~€12 in normal conditions. If you change your mind about the metro, it's a good system. To get to where you're going in the Baixa, you'd need to take the red line (direction São Sebastião) to Alameda and then switch to the green line (direction Cais do Sodré) and get off at Baixa/Chiado.

Boa sorte e bom caminho.

Kind of an off-topic question, jungleboy, but do you think the 12 euros you quoted is a standard Uber fare to the center? If so, it’s really not much more, if at all, than the normal taxi fare. I remember being in Lisbon a couple of years ago when thousands of taxi drivers blocked the streets in protest of Uber, but I never heard what resolution there was of that, if any.

I am a huge fan of the Lisbon metro, but the ride out to the airport is almost farcically circuitous, don’t you think? I personally would have extended the line from Campo Grande, but no one asked me, unfortunately.

P.s. I think the aerobus runs 24 hours, doesn’t it? That might be the better option than the metro for a cheap way in

There's no real standard Uber fare. Going back through the receipts for my various airport trips (or those I've booked for family/friends), the fare has ranged from €9-13. It's at the lower end of that range when going from the centre to the airport very early in the morning (i.e. before the metro has started running, which is when I typically use Uber). If it's rush hour, Uber fares can be higher than normal. But the fares are typically lower than taxis anyway, which is part of the appeal of Uber to begin with.

Not sure about the aerobus as I've never taken it.

From one who, in getting to his accommodation, really enjoys the interaction with locals as I blunder around cities in my attempt to use local transport systems, I do refrain from doing this after long-haul flights.

I also arrived Lisbon airport mid-evening and took the taxi option.
The convenience of getting to your accommodation efficiently and quickly after a long flight is, imo, money well spent.

I would like to walk the river route in Tui next month. I can see on google maps exactly where it starts, but it seems a bit overgrown. Has anybody used this route this year or last year...
Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
Hi I have searched everywhere to see if there is a luggage service from Lisbon to Porto. I know there is from Porto to Santiago, but Lisbon ???. Thanks for any info.
