From Santiago to Fatima

Hi after walking the camino five times from different starting points I now want to walk from Santiago to Fatima in September.
I am trying to find some accurate information, but all links I find here on the website don't work.
I bought John Brierly's book so I can walk it the other way round, but I prefer to have some more information.
Are there still blue arrows from Santiago to Fatima? Can you sleep in the same albergues? Do I need another pilgrims passport to be able to sleep in the albergues or is the spanish one ok?
Hope someone can help me with this information!
Thanks in advance :)

Having walked recently from Porto to SdeC I'd say there are enough blue arrows to guide you to Fatima. No problem at all using pilgrim passports / credencials from other countries to sleep in albergues. So long as there's space and you're a pilgrim I can't see that it matters to the Albergue people, which direction you are walking.

I tend to disagree on the "no problem" using the albergues going reverse. ( SdC to Fatima ) Some albergues will make you wait until 9pm to let you have a bed. I saw several pistoff pilgrims heading to fatima because they would not let them in like the "normal" pilgrims. The excuse being that the albergues are for the pilgrims traveling to north to SdC. Just be patient and keep your wits!

Ortemio you obviously know more about this than me.

Hi I have just arrived in Santiago de Compostela after 35 days, starting in St Jean. I still have wind in my sails and more importantly time. I plan to leave SDC on 16/8/19 for Fatima. Is there anywhere in SDC in can collect a pilgrims passport for the walk to Fatima?

Hi rmckay you can order the pilgrim passport in Associação de Amigos dos Caminhos de Fatima https://caminho.com.pt/credencial_e.html
It will be sent to an address you choose in Santiago or on the Caminho.
The Associação de Amigos dos Caminhos de Fátima doesn’t have any place for pilgrims to collect pilgrim passports in Santiago de Compostela.

Bom caminho.
