From the Vatican To Santiago?

Hello all!

Just starting to consider this pilgrimage from the Vatican to Santiago with my New Bride! We're in Ecuador right now and wouldn't likely arrive in Rome until next spring, April 2013 maybe.

I would LOVE to have a credencial with stamps and signatures from churches all along the way starting with the Vatican! Anyone know if it is possible to get a credencial before hitting the trail or if you can get them at the Vatican?

Also, we don't so much mind finding our own way, but if anyone has any resources or trail guides from Rome to Arles it would be GREAT!

Thanks for your time!
Buen Camino!~.^!

Micqey,

What a wonderful pilgrimage Rome to Santiago would be for you both!

To help with your research here is a useful link from the Confraternity of Saint James listing Road to Rome web sites. http://www.csj.org.uk/other-websites.htm#rome

We just finished Nice to Rome. Last year we went from Nice to Arles.

AS usual, the great website of Peter Robbins is a great resource for routes. How are you GPS skills?

Send me a PM with any specific questions.
