Gaillac diversion

I understand that there is a pilgrimage route that goes through Gaillac.

I'd like to start my walk from our new home in Cordes Sur Ciel nearby. Otherwise Moissac is probably the closest place that I can join it. But it's a long long way from Cordes.

Does anyone know of the route that includes Gaillac?

To begin your research check out these two web sites

For more info in French Google the terms Chemin St Jacques and Gaillac.

Happy planning and Bon chemin!

The GR 46 passes through Cordes and Gaillac and then turns westward towards Toulouse. That might be an option for you and if you decide to walk it send me a message . . . we live about ten minutes from each other!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Another thought . . . you can take the train from Cordes (station is at Vindrac) to Figeac and join the Le Puy route (GR 65) from there. I have done that in the past and I'm planning to walk part of it again this fall. If you would like to get together for a chat about your plans or maybe a local walk let me know.

Oh that's fantastic. I have no imminent plans - I'm thinking more about next spring really.

I had planned to walk the le puy route last autumn with my husband but he had a knee injury and we put it on hold. Since then life has got in the way, the purchase came up and it seems right to walk it from our front door.

I'd appreciate a walking companion next year though. I'm quite nervous about doing a long walk on my own. Never done it before.

Thanks so much. I'll be in touch later in the year x

I am fine tuning my packing and I pre package my vitamins/supplements to take daily, which I have done for about 15 years. Do you all take them with you, or leave them home? 36 days of vitamins...
Dear fellow pilgrims! :) I hope to walk from Le Puy to Santiago later this year. I was thinking about starting at some point in august so that I manage to reach Santiago before it gets too cold...
Hey! Thinking about walking Le Puy this year. I am a solo female traveller. On my previous Camino (Spain) I stayed in municipal albergues, but this time I would like to try something...
