Hello fellow pilgrims,
in 2019 I walked my first Camino (Camino Frances) and well I got addicted to the Camino and walking, so I planned my second Camino for may 2020 (del Norte) which did not happen. I wanted to get to Santiago on my 40th birthday, but then the pandemic...I walk a lot and still do a lot of hiking, which is ok here in Germany. Thank god we were always allowed to go on walks. So in the beginning of 2021 I thought how can I walk with purpose. Only 2km away from my door you can find the first shell which will lead to santiago de compostela (through Germany and then France). My dad is in my covid bubble of people and he said I could just follow the shells and he would pick me up at the end of the day. So I have been doing 4 walks towards Santiago (70km) and I set my self a goal to keep walking to Santiago however long it takes, now day walks during the pandemic until i can walk more days or maybe weeks and it is safe for everyone to stay overnight. It will probably take until the summer to get vaccinated, but then I hope I can walk in France, until then Germany to Santiago...
I am making a little video journal about it, nothing fancy, but I made English subtitles so my camino family from the Camino Frances can watch. Maybe it is too annoying with subtitles also the music is a bit off in the first video, but it gets better...
just thought I would share:
For the correct subtitles you have to click US English. So if you feel like checking out the way in Germany and follow (no plans yet, when to arrive since it is still 2.200 )
