We are planing to start de Camino en Valença. I know we can get the credential in Tui, but I was wondering if the alberge in Valença also provides them
Dear V-Rock,
I am sure you can get a credential at Valenca.
When I was there, some portuguese people received there credential in valenca at the albergue.
No worries,
Jan Nieuwland
The address of the Valenca albergue is
Albergue de Peregrinos S. Teotónio
Av. dos Bombeiros Voluntários
4930-593 Valenca
Valenca de Minho has a great Vauban fortress with earthworks from the 17th century.
From Valenca you will enjoy walking across the river Minho on the 19th century bridge designed by Eiffel of tower fame towards Tui.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
My wife and I visited Valenca a few years ago and we felt in love with Portugal, that is one of the reasons we want to start in Valenca instead of Tui.
Can't wait to start my camino.
Hi,
Has anyone stayed in Armenteira recently? I’ve contacted Victor the Taxi to try and reserve a bunk at the Slbuergue de peregrinos. He told me to contact “ Albergue de San Ero de Armenteira”...
