Getting a ruck sac taken on to next village

How can you get a ruc sac taken on to the next village and in particulkar from SJDP to Roncesvalles.
We have already booked hostals in both villages so basically want a rucsac transported from SJDP to Roncesvalles.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
There's an actual "mochila" (backpack) taxi service on the Frances that simply shuttles bags around for pilgrims. I can't remember the name, and can't say for sure if it runs the entire length of the CF, but I read about it online at one point and then saw some of the taxis in one of the towns along the CF.

Here are the links to the two companies I have seen most often on the Camino Frances/GR 65. Since you are talking about St. Jean to Roncesvalles, you'll probably need the French company.

http://www.jacotrans.com/ (from Roncesvalles to Santiago)

http://www.transbagages.com/joomla/inde ... =7&lang=en
(from Le Puy to Roncesvalles/Roncevaux)

As Falcon says, it's easy to arrange. You simply call them the night before, fill out a form and leave your 7 euros in the envelope they provide, and the bags will be transported to the destination you have specified. The only drawback is that once you send your bag to a town, you lose the flexibility to change your mind.

I've never used these companies, but a woman I've walked with used them periodically and was always very happy with their services. Buen camino, Laurie
