Getting from London/Madrid to Orbigo

Camino Frances June 2018 & June 2023
I am planning to go to Hospital de Orbigo next June to see the Medieval Festival before starting the Camino.

I'm not sure yet if I will be flying into London or Madrid (depends on availability of frequent flyer seats).

Can you please offer any advice on the best / cheapest way to get from London and Madrid to Hospital de Orbigo (and rough idea of journey duration)?

Also, getting from Orbigo to SJPDP once the festival is over.

Thank you!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The ALSA website will not show a Madrid airport bus to Hospital, but you can make you own connections by taking a bus from T-4 to Leon, then a bus that leaves about every hour and one-half from Leon to Hospital. The fare to Leon is about 35E, and the fare from Leon about 3E. Schedules for June 2018 will not be published until spring of 2018, so you can only see typical June schedules at the moment. They don't change much from year to year, but ALSA does not seem to like making commitments!;)
