getting from Madrid to Roncesvalles

I'm confused about the best way to get from Madrid to Roncesvalles. My googling has been a bit of a minefield.
We'll be leaving on Madrid on a Tuesday and we want to go the most direct way.
Any help would be appreciated.

Madrid to Roncesvalles

Hi,

Morning bus from Madrid (station is at Avenida de America) to Pamplona, and the afternoon bus from Pamplona to Roncesvalles. You'll have a couple of hours in Pamplona to wander around. There's a officina de correro nearby if you feel like posting anything forward to Santiago.

The bus used to leave at 10:30 am from Madrid, but you might want to check the schedule when you arrive in Madrid, the info I have is a little old.
