I arrive at CDG on 5th Sept, at 13.30. I plan on spending the night at an airport hotel, then catching the train to Bayonne, then bus to St Jean -Pied-de-Port, where I have booked accommodation for the 6th Sept. Is this a good idea? Any advice would be much appreciated!

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Hi, this May I booked a flight from Orly to Biarritz, booked a taxi with Bourricott Express from Biarritz to SJPP. Worked out just fine.

I know someone who did this and it was fine. I flew via Paris to Bordeaux, and then caught the train to Bayonne, and then the bus to SJ from there. Whatever route you choose, travel in Europe is so easy.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Can't imagine spending all those hours at the airport when you could be in Paris.

True - actually watching Midnight in Paris at the moment :) wonder into old Paris for the afternoon, take in some of the sights. I wish I had.

Paris is a fabulous city, an afternoon / evening there would be fun. Alternatively, maybe you could connect in CDG to a train to Bordeaux then Bayonne, spending a night there, a nice french town. An easy trip to St Jean PDP the next day. Whatever you choose, all is good.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thank you for all the advice everyone! Now my head is full of options, just need to choose the best one for me.
