Giving away my brand new Salomons

So, last year I had already bought a new pair of Salomons for my Camino 2018, when @davebugg started messing with my brain and I decided to try Altras. They were great! Sitting in my closet, I just discovered, is a brand new, in the box pair of Salomon´s mens 10.5 (yes, I have big feet!) X Ultra Mid GTX. I can post a picture if needed.

I will pay for shipping anywhere in the US if someone wants them, in exchange for that person making a nice donation to Rebekah’s Peaceable Projects, her nonprofit charitable organization that you will have heard of if you have been here much. https://www.peaceableprojects.org/

Any takers?
Buen camino, Laurie

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Gracious and generous Peregrina.:)

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-

What a lovely and very generous offer there Laurie....

I love Salomon's but those are a tad too big for me. Thank you for the offer.

Here’s an idea - you could donate them to a homeless shelter or organization that helps the homeless. Many years ago my husband started an organization to help the homeless, and one of its first missions was providing gear to help survive the elements. I know from experience, large size shoes and boots are very hard to come by and very much needed. Just a thought...

Laurie,

I live in Canada and that is the exact boot I am wearing now. If by chance you don't get someone in the US to give these boots to please let me know. This is a grand idea.

Drats, I just checked and the price to mail them would be between $60-70. Seems silly, but if you come over to the US, let me know and I’ll get them to you. 😄

Time to test the 6 degrees of separation, Laurie: can you get those shoes to @MichaelF4 in Canada by passing them hand to hand in 6 people or less?;)
If you can, I'll leave your prize to pick up once you get to Santiago...

Well I am a member of the local chapter of the CCOP (Canadian Company of Pilgrims), that should shorten the six degrees...

A company I work with gets great rates with UPS and Fedex. If you can provide me a zip code I can see if they can pick them up or you can drop them off at a local pick up point.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Laurie, they are my size and I have a Florida P.O. Box. I’m interested, if you don’t have any serious takers. Bonnie

I get my tools shipped to a place near the Canada USA border near to where I live and have them shipped there. Then I just drive a few Km to pick them up and pay the taxes at the border crossing. I even paid taxes on the dog I bought at a shelter in the USA. Hope this idea helps.

I waited 2.5 hours in the border lineup yesterday, so I could check out some things at the REI in Bellingham, WA. Didn't buy anything significant, in the end. You could probably have shipped them there while I was waiting. 🤣

Consider donating them to a homeless shelter or goodwill store . I’ve done that with some new boots I ordered online last year that weren’t my size . I’m sure that someone will LOVE your gift and it will be a great way to ‘pay it forward ‘ .

What a great idea! Love Salomon too. And would have taken your offer in a heartbeat if I had the capacity to fill such big shoes 😊
