GoPro Videos of the Camino

I just finished putting up GoPro videos of the Camino Frances from my walk in 2015. I had put a few up earlier but now am complete with all that I had. Most stages are represented. Two or three are missing due to very bad weather or equipment failure. I offer them up not as something to necessarily view through and through but to look at if you want to see what type of terrain or landscape you'll be walking through.

Each video contains:

1) A copied (with permission) page of Brierley's guide
2) Altitude cross section of the path walked
3) Google Map overall satellite view
4) Some stills from the walk
5) A "Google Map Tour" of the route (2-4 minutes per video)
6) Excerpts from the HD GoPro video at various points during the stage that are representative of the towns or landscape walked (speeded up 8x) as well as selected normal speed videos of locations along the way.
7) Along side each video I show a page from Bierley's guide and a Google Map (both with "x's" to show approximately where the video was taken.

Each video is approximately 8-16 minutes long. The GoPro portion and video clips are about 70% of each video.

Well done !!!! Thank You for this, I was curious about this alternative route We did the SJJP to Orisson to Roncevalles last fall (2016) and will do it again this late summer (Aug.10, 2017)

Wow. This must have taken a lot of time and dedication! Since it is so well organized, I have bookmarked it as a reference to go back to when I'm trying to remember a section. For example, because of another thread about the climb to O Cebreiro, I just followed your Stage 26B. It was funny to see the people positively trotting past you!

These videos would also be great on Blu-Ray DVD for those using a treadmill. On the DVDs, have the ability to select a few real-world walking speeds in the DVDs menu. Yeah, it would take, like, forty DVDs for the whole series, but maybe 10 DVD segments could be included per separate package. Folks could virtual treadmill-walk the Camino Frances at home.

It is very helpful to be able to view what the road will be like. Looks that I will be walking on a asphalt/paved road a lot. boots seems a overkill . ?
