I think I'll need be needing GPS for my next pilgrim adventure along a largely unmarked route. On previous travels Maps.me has worked great on an android phone. Now I need reading glasses I'm finding it a bit of a performance getting everything out and on to check where to go and would like to try another way. Voice guidance might be helpful or really annoying but I'd like to give it a go to find out.
I've not had any luck getting maps.me to give walking routes voice guidance - I'd be interested to know if anyone fared better or found another walking app that gives voice guidance?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
@onwayhome , greetings.

I have used OSMand+ for for about four years.

I can make my own tracks (and amend them on the go), save them and get an analysis, including elevation changes.

It shows trails that have been recorded in the separately maintained public data base. And the public data base is maintained by a variety wide of contributors.

You can zoom in to show and area that is about 30 metres by 20 metres if that is important to you.

You can get a feel of the the detail available by going to, say:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=10/-41.2904/174.7825
(the antipode of this location is pretty close to the midway point on the Meseta between Burgos and Leon).

Be pleased to answer your questions about the Android app OSMand+. My only connection with this product is as a user.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Thanks Alwyn, sounds like OSMand works well for you and I'm going to try it out. I've downloaded the app and will take it for a walk this week.
