Great massage in Leon today

I had an excellent massage with a chiropractor / masseuse in León today and my Camino friend went to him a few days ago and also had a great experience so I want to share his details:

Quiromasaje Gimenez
Avda. Roma 13, León
+ 34 649 730 727
Javier@quiromasajegimenez.com

His name is Javier and he is excellent. I would classify the massage as a sports massage with good deep tissue work and good stretches. His space is like a doctor's studio and very clean and comfortable.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Would you mind sharing the cost with us?

@Tippy100 , welcome to the forum. Thank you for advertising Javier's excellent services on your first visit. Would you please tell us how the rest of your camino is going? And your friend a few days in front of you?

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Please.... a. Masseuse and masseur are terms no longer in use; they are now considered derogatory and refer to people not trained and, especially in North America, to people who are sex trade workers. Javier is a highly trained massage therapist; I met him in Sahagun. He works not only with pilgrims, but also with people in Leon who have had injuries, accidents and who have medical conditions who want relief from their symptoms.

Also, b. masseuse is the feminine term; masseur is the masculine term.

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist for 23 years in Canada, and with my two years of para-medical training, have dedicated 25 years of my life to this area of healthcare. As well as massage to reduce stress or to relax someone, I have training in oncology massage--massage care for cancer patients and cancer survivors, pre- and post-natal massage, the specialized Bowen Technique for many medical conditions, and am now in training to offer manual lymph drainage, a highly specialized therapy for people with lymphatic insufficiencies, and have worked with car accident injuries, severe medical conditions, overuse conditions and--even pilgrim injuries on this last Camino walk I just completed.
I feel 100% qualified to provide my justification; I am not a masseuse; neither is Javier.

Thank you.

Haha lovely discussion after a simple massage recommendation :)

I was the friend Helma referred to; fantastic massage, highly recommended! I came with a painful injury (knee tendonitis) and felt like new after Javiers magic!

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Masajista is the correct term in Spain. But really, peeps, we are missing the point - chiropractor, massage therapist or masseur, I doubt if Javier is worried about the nuances - the guy is highly recommended at the end of a long day on the trail.

I am also a Masajista. 19 years now and It doesn't bother me at all what they call me...as long as they call me. I might check out Javier too. Thanks.
